Evening & night nature

When the light goes, a different forest wakes up: owls and frogmouths, shrub frogs, lizards and the Green Pit Viper, found by torchlight with a naturalist.

The experience

From dusk to dark

The forest at night is a different world.

As the hornbills fly to roost over the river, the night shift begins. Shrub frogs call from the streamside, lizards sleep on the branches and, if you are lucky, a Serendib Scops Owl answers from the undergrowth.

Walks are short, slow and easy, along the forest edge near the lodge. Torches are provided; please wear closed shoes.
