The experience

Twenty endemics, one forest

Tell us your targets and we shape the days around them.

Most of Sri Lanka’s endemic birds live in Sinharaja. Some are easy, like the Yellow-fronted Barbet in the lodge garden; others, like the Green-billed Coucal or Scaly Thrush, need patience and local knowledge.

Send us your target list before you arrive. We plan each day around the species you still need and adjust as the sightings come in.
