Watching birds responsibly in the rainforest

Simple habits that protect the birds and make your visit better.

Responsible birding protects the species we come to see.

  • Keep to trails and follow your guide’s lead.
  • Use call playback sparingly, if at all, and never at nests or roosts.
  • Keep a respectful distance from roosting owls and nesting birds.
  • Take all litter back out of the forest.
  • Never feed or handle wildlife.
